Summary
The Sales Consultant is responsible to working with customers to identify their vehicle needs, finding the appropriate vehicle to meet their budget while ensuring each customer has a superb dealership experience.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Follows dealership sales process and complies with all ethical standards to meet dealership sales goals.
* Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company and manufacturer standards.
* Greets customer and assist customer to identify type of vehicle that meets their needs.
* Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on road.
* Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
* Communicates sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
* Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to, preparing sales slip or sales contract.
* Provides complete review of vehicle features and benefits during sale process.
* Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
* Engages in business development.
* Addresses customer concerns.
* Engages customers after sale for follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Job Requirements
* Automotive sales experience is not required, but will be considered a plus
* Professional appearance and strong communications skills
* Basic computer skills a plus
* Proven track record of successful selling
* Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results
* Team-oriented
* Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
* Valid driver's license with good driving record
