Responsibilities include answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, maintenance of patient records, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, and other duties as assigned. 2 plus years of previous medical front office experience is preferred along with accounting and data entry skills. The candidate must adhere to HIPAA confidentiality rules, and must have good verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility in dealing with patients and good judgment in working with all types of people in changing situations is required. The candidate must be a team player who is energetic, able to focus, and is responsive to the needs of the practice and its customers. Computer skills required include scheduling, Word, Excel, e-mail response, and posting HTML files as directed. A strong knowledge of medical terminology is required.
The position would be 38 to 40 hours a week. Business hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday, 8 am to 3:30 pm. We offer a competitive compensation package including full medical insurance after 30 days, life insurance, a strong retirement plan, and accrued vacation hours.
