Orion Group Oil & Gas Jobs in Nigeria for a Production Manager

Our client is an international Oil & Gas exploration and production company. Employing over 900 people, they operate several producing properties as well exploration and development properties worldwide. They are currently recruiting for the position of Nigerian Production Manager, based in Lagos.

Job Title: Nigerian Production Manager
Job Description
Safely manage all Production and Maintenance Operations in line with business objectives whilst fully adhering to corporate policies and regulatory requirements
Ensure that the company’s production targets / forecasts and listings are safely achieved
Provide operations and maintenance management for the Field including, support and technical guidance in the maintenance and upkeep of the assets covering structural, civil, rotating, static equipments, electrical, IT, control systems, pipe lines and flow lines
Manage the field condition monitoring system to ensure plant reliability assurance through predictive assessments and analysis
Provide technical advice on all Production matters to executive management
Ensure optimal production systems performance with minimum deferments
Manages organizational capabilities and oversees staff development
Manage HSSE Performance within production Operations. Ensure full adherence to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Monthly monitor of production Key Performance Indicators (evaluate & optimize all onshore and offshore process performance)
Provide technical support / advice and solutions to onshore and offshore production ad-visors
Budget preparation and operation within prescribed budgetary controls
Monitor third party contractor performance and hold monthly / quarterly meetings
Participate in the evaluation of risk as applicable to any process or production related assessments
Ensure the production of oil and gas to safely meet set targets and specifications and set mitigation measures to correct if necessary
Manage preparation and control of the production department budget
Monitor departmental expenditure and control spending within approved limits
Implementation of Asset Integrity plans
Sponsor of major third party contracts
Ensure co-ordination of maintenance, construction, plant and well operations to maximize output and minimize downtime and cost
Maintain good communication channels between Lagos, Geneva and Field in order to maintain and enhance harmonious relations
 
Skills & Experience
A degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline is essential with vast work experience.
Extensive terminal and tanker scheduling operations experience.
Very good people management, interpersonal, communications and organizational skills are essential.
Good written/spoken English and PC literate.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
Vast experience in a senior supervisory level in Production and Maintenance operations. This includes offshore subsurface and surface facilities.
Excellent knowledge and in depth understanding of the latest Production planning and hydrocarbon accounting methodologies.
