Team Description
As a member of the Trade Finance Africa team, you will be one of the primary contacts between African corporate and financial institutional clients in Sub Saharan Africa and the Bank. Global trade products include letters of credit confirmation/issuance, documentary collections, open account payments, structured trade finance, and syndicated trade. As part of a team and reporting to the Head of Trade Finance Africa, you will manage ongoing relationships with FI's and selective corporate names while generating new business from prospective and under-penetrated clients.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Maintaining an existing portfolio of the banks clients in South Africa/Sub Sahara Africa
·         Developing and executing a strategic sales plan.
·         Driving growth of new profitable business within select industries/clients in South Africa/Sub Sahara Africa.
·         Managing client interaction and calling.
·         Coordinating relationship coverage and development of solutions with cash management's sales officers.
·         Gathering market intelligence including understanding the competitions' capabilities and limitations.
·         Building relationships through frequent client meetings and discussions covering product innovations as well as market and industry developments.
·         Providing feedback to product managers.
·         Generating cross-selling opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other JPMorgan lines of business.
·         Managing the entire sales process.
·         Proposal writing.
·         Developing in-depth client knowledge and sharing it with the client coverage team for both new business development and management of client risk.
 

Qualifications

·         Trade sales and relationship management experience in Africa
·         Existing customer base of clients in Africa
·         Working knowledge of cash management
·         Experience gained in relevant industry/markets
·         Proven track record in over achieving against sales targets as a way of demonstrating strong selling and negotiation skills.
