Drive the end-to-end procurement / supply chain,  strategic sourcing processes and outsourcing of services  for IT and Stanbic IBTC and ensure that best practices are implemented and that there is continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement commodity specific sourcing strategies
- Manage the relationships with key receivers/users of the specific commodities being managed through Service Level Commitment (SLC)
- Ensure proper execution of sourcing of goods and services within commodities responsible for
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers of commodities responsible for
- Perform a cube analysis on all commodities responsible for
- Develop a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model and ensure that TCO reduction is the key driver in the commodities being managed
- Ensure that TCO reduction targets are exceeded
- Ensure that procurement spend is channelled to supplier companies that have the competencies for commodities required
- Manage and coordinate all activities of the procurement team responsible for
- Ensure that exchange rate fluctuations risks are adequately mitigated
- Establish and ensure the smooth running and operation of the Cross Functional Sourcing Teams (CFSTs)
- Ensure adherence to proper policies and procedures of Stanbic IBTC
- Co-develop and implement a strategic sourcing methodology for SBSA / Stanbic IBTC
- Categorise procurement spend into strategic, leverage, niche and routine commodities and develop different strategies for each
Supervises the Procurement Representatives responsible for the purchasing of goods and services.
Interacts with internal and external clients to create an atmosphere of partnership and mutual respect.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain Manager to create and maintain department budgets.
Collaborates in the development and implementation of electronic procurement systems for use at the bank.
Creates and implements team and community training programs related to procurement systems.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain Manager in creating and refining related policies and procedures.
Acts as in proxy in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Acquire suitable premises to meet the Bank’s network needs, arrange for a rental assessment to be undertaken on the offered property, undertake market rental surveys and negotiate the best possible market related lease terms and conditions on new leases, renewals and relocations, early termination of existing leases (if required by the Bank), relocations, closures and sub-letting in respect of the Bank’s network needs in leased and bank-owned buildings.

Reduce the Bank’s rental exposure where premises are vacated prior to the expiry date of the lease by negotiating sub-lease agreements or cancellation of existing lease agreements.

Protect the Bank’s interests by undertaking a due diligence on properties offered to lease.

Manage expiry dates pertaining to leased premises and ensure that lease agreements are renewed six months prior to the lease expiry date.

4.2 Purchase of property

Purchase suitable premises to meet the Bank’s network needs.

Arrange for a valuation assessment to be undertaken on the offered property.

Undertaking a due diligence on properties offered to the Bank for purchase.

4.3 Bank owned buildings

Retain existing third party tenants, if their business and tenure contributes to the Bank’s profits and the building’s needs.

Vacant premises will first be offered to the Bank and other Bank entities.

If the Bank does not require the premises, the premises will be offered to the public.

When leasing to a third party, the Bank’s exposure will be fully protected through effective documentation, due diligence on prospective tenant, financial control and records.

Ensure that the Bank’s property is well maintained.

    The Manager, Security serves as the business leader responsible for the development, implementation and management of the organization’s corporate security vision, strategy and programs. They direct staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of financial, physical, and personal risk; establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with intellectual property; and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures related to data security.

    • Conduct periodic security review of all residences and branch locations in order to determine the adequacy (or otherwise) of existing security measures in place.
    • Carry out regular compliance visits to all residences and branches in order to ensure that existing security policies and procedures are in line with the Bank’s best practice with respect to security services (or as the case maybe).
    • Create awareness and ensure all staff are familiar with all security policies and procedures including emergency procedures, fire evacuation, guarding expectations, etc.
    • Ensure high level of performance on the part of contract security guards and the Security Escort Teams.
    • Ensure that all resources provided for security operations bank wide are effectively managed and utilised.
    • Monthly collation and assessment of intelligence data with respect to crime incidents in Lagos. Collated intelligence data will be forwarded to the Head, Administration for review, and further to senior management.
    • Write detailed security reports based on current security situation and potential threats to personnel, assets, information and business operations.
