The Chief Medical Officer is a clinical physician  (MD or DO) who, in addition to providing
 direct medical services to  patients, direct the overall medical program at Mary’s Center for  Maternal Child Care, Inc. This position requires the CMO in the clinic  40 hours per week: with 20 percent or one-day per week dedicated to  patient care, and 80 percent four days weekly to attend to all  administrative responsibilities. The incumbent must also be available  night and weekend for emergency coverage of obtain appropriate  coverage.Qualifications: A board certified and  licensed medical doctor in the District of Columbia and Maryland, with a  minimum of 8 years clinic experience, and management experiences  preferably in an Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)/community  ambulatory care setting, have thorough knowledge of area of specialty  including the area of preventative medicine, have knowledge or  willingness to learn about various immigrant cultures in particular  Hispanic/Latino cultures, have ability to relate effective to community  interest groups, agencies and medical facilities that serves Mary’s  Center population. Be able to work well in pressures situations that  requires meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, the  employee shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with  supervisor, direct reports, colleagues, and patients. Bilingual  (Spanish/English) preferred.
