Personnel & Food Safety Manager Vacancy














As the Personnel & Food Safety Manager, you will be reporting to the President/CEO and actively participate with the executive team for this leading Midwest third party logistics provider (3PL). Personnel Safety Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate safety and housekeeping programs
Ensure compliance with regulated policies and procedures (OSHA)
Develop practical solutions to resolve safety issues
Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety rules and regulations
Develop and execute training programs for monthly safety meetings, new hire orientation, material handling equipment refresher training, post-accident training, and near miss program
Maintain accurate records of safety compliance and training
Manage the Worker’s Compensation program
Develop and maintain written plans for OSHA required areas
Food Safety Primary Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with regulated policies and procedures (FDA, USDA, ASI-Food Product Safety)
Manage adequacy of the Food Safety Program

self-inspection process
procedures for examining incoming/outgoing materials
pest control
Ensure ongoing compliance with ASI-Food Product Safety program
Maintain accuracy of records
Participate in annual 3rd party audits
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Implement and train on SOPs
Conduct inspections and audits to verify ongoing compliance with Food Safety Program procedures
Lead member of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)

Position Requirements
Bachelor degree in Safety related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of related experience
Extensive OSHA regulation knowledge or Food Safety knowledge is required
Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time to/from any of our locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Idaho
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Good communication skills with experience in conducting training sessions
Self-starter
Proven experience in developing, training and executing a Personnel and Food Safety program
